DUO WITH ALBERTO BOLOGNI AND SIMONE SOLDATI

The concert-giving and teaching activities of ‘Boccherini Open 2016’ continue in May with important appointments and a recording of great historical value for the city’s musical traditions. Guest star of the Institute’s open day on May 28th will be Dario Marianelli, a composer who won the Oscar Prize in 2008 for the soundtrack of the film Atonement.
On Friday, May 27th, on the anniversary of Luigi Boccherini’s death (died in Madrid May 28th, 1805); there’s a recital by Simone Soldati (piano) and Alberto Bologni (violin). The duo will perform music by Mozart and Boccherini. The event is organized in collaboration with the Centro Studi “Luigi Boccherini”.
All concerts are free admission and will be held in ISSM’s “L. Boccherini” auditorium. For more information www.boccherini.it
