The Giglio Theatre project Lucca Junior Opera is back with two works for children. Monday 13^th at 9.45 am is Gatto con gli stivali (Puss in Boots, see photo) by Marco Tutino, libretto by Giuseppe di Leva, a sparkling opera-musical based on Perrault’s famous tale. The cast, in addition to the children’s choir and dancers, features young talented opera singers. The children’s choir of the Cappella di Santa Cecilia Lucca is conducted by Sara Matteucci. Choreography by Monica Bocci with students from Lucca’s “Art & Arabesque Dance school”. The Boccherini Music Institute Orchestra is conducted by Gianpaolo Mazzoli.
