In April there are three concerts previewing Lucca’s Classical Music Festival, which will take place from the 8th to the 10th of May and will enliven the city’s historic centre. On Friday 24th (9 pm, Teatro del Giglio) GianPaolo Mazzoli conducts the Luigi Boccherini Musical Institute Orchestra and Choir (see photo) with clarinettist Remo Pieri, in Weber’s clarinet Concerto No. 2, the overture from Catalani’s “Edmea” and Mozart’s Mass in C major, K. 317.
