On Saturday, December 12^th , at 9 PM, at the Teatro del Giglio, there’s a rare performance in the “Lucca, i giorni di Puccini” festival (Lucca Puccini Days): the Mass in F major by Michele Puccini, father of Giacomo Puccini. Michele Puccini, musical director of the Institute of Lucca, organist at the Cathedral of San Martino, composer, teacher, gave to his son in his early years of life (Michael died when Giacomo was just over five years) his experience and passion for music, which culminated in the success that we all know. Stars of the evening are the Coro della Cappella Santa Cecilia di Lucca and the Orchestra da Camera Luigi Boccherini, directed by Luca Bacci.
