Meme Lucarelli is among those Luccan musicians who best represent their professional versatility. Just look at collaborations, with his group Mediterraneo, with great artists from theatre, film, radio spots in their five CDs. The latest is with Soul Trade and will be released in a few weeks. The opportunity came last year, at Lucca’s Summer Festival, when Meme opened Robben Ford’s concert, during the evening dedicated to guitarists. There’s now a recording contract between Meme and Milan’s Soul Trade where he went with another Luccan, Stefano Picchi, Meme Lucarelli’s close friend and associate at Lucca’s H- Demia school. Under Mimmo D’Alessandro’s supervision, the two artists have begun a collaboration which will end in May in Miami where a new CD will be recorded with international artists.
